Anonymous polling sites like EasyPolls are useful when trying to get a quick consensus on an activity, but after a consensus has been made, it's time to gather up the troops and find out who can help. This often results in long back-and-forth emails filling up your inbox. A very handy solution is Doodle. The stated purpose of this online tool is "easy scheduling" as it allows you to find out which date works best for everyone. However, it's also useful for finding out when people are available to help with specific events. In the previous post we used EasyPolls to decide on a Sports Day theme for the welcome event. The next step here is using Doodle to find out what time faculty members can help at the Sports Day Welcome Party. (Go here if you would like to participate in this poll.)
As with EasyPolls, participants do not need to create an account. As a poll creator, having a free account allows you to keep your polls all in one place.
